Compassionate Counselling & Psychotherapy
A COUNSELLING PORTAL FOR FIRST NATIONS PEOPLES
Support for individuals, couples and families in Ontario and BC. Fees covered through NIHB for eligible clients. No referral needed.
I offer culturally informed, trauma‑responsive psychotherapy and counselling delivered online to First Nations individuals, families, and communities across Ontario and British Columbia. I provide skilled, evidence‑based clinical care that honours Indigenous worldviews and supports long‑term healing, resilience, and mental wellness.
What I offer:
Trauma‑informed psychotherapy tailored to the needs of First Nations people. • Culturally grounded care that integrates the Inter‑tribal Medicine Wheel with western evidence‑based assessments and therapies. • Holistic healing that respects Indigenous epistemologies and the lived experiences of Cree, Anishnabek, Iroquoian, and West Coast First Nation cultures. • Accessible online counselling including individual therapy, family support, and trauma recovery.
My approach I combine traditional Indigenous knowledge with contemporary clinical practice to support healing in body, mind, emotion, and spirit. Grounding in cultural identity is central to processing trauma and building resilience. My Integrated Holistic Approach is informed by elders, healers, and community practices and is delivered with cultural humility, safety, and respect.
Who I support I work with adults, youth, families, and community members seeking: • Trauma recovery and stabilization • Support for anxiety, depression, grief, and stress • Strengthening of family relationships and roles • Guidance that honours cultural identity and community healing
Community partnerships I have collaborated with First Nation elders and healers across Canada to ensure my services are community‑centred and responsive to the ongoing impacts of colonization, residential schools, and systemic racism. I welcome referrals and work respectfully with local supports to provide culturally appropriate care.
How counselling helps My counselling supports you to build coping skills, make healthier choices in relationships, and take on fulfilling roles within family and community. I focus on practical strategies for stabilization and long‑term wellbeing while honouring each person’s cultural strengths and identity.
